Help us build a Kids Cancer Care Center in Rehovot, Israel
Children undergoing cancer therapy in the center of Israel, the Rehovot region, have only had a Day Unit that they could go to with their families. Overnight hospital stays required travel to other hospitals to receive care that Kaplan could provide.
AFKMC is looking for partners in American philanthropic leadership to play a significant role in raising the $600,000 needed to create a new comprehensive Pediatric Oncology Unit in the new Ida Kabakoff Pediatric Hospital at KMC.
Kaplan Medical Center treats patients from throughout Israel; many travel long distances to be treated by its outstanding faculty. Kaplan's pediatric clinics cover a vast catchment area stretching from Kiryat Gat and Kiryat Malachi in the south to Rishon LeZion and Nes Ziona in the north.
The current pediatric center sees more than 60,000 children each year:
Kaplan, along with Israel's other pediatric facilities, cannot keep pace with the demands of Israel's growing, young population.
With its top-flight medical staff having passed rigorous American JCI accreditation standards, Kaplan's 40 pediatricians offer advanced care in a dozen specialties:
|Total Construction Cost||$600,000|
|Amount Already Raised||$375,000|
|Amount Still to be Collected||$225,000|
All donations are tax deductible but please consult your accountant or attorney for details.
